Punta De Mita - Mexico

Punta de Mita is 35 minutes from the airport in Puerto Vallarta. The drive takes you out to Bucerias and then along the northern coast of the Bay of Banderas. This is really where the magic starts with over 20 surf spots between Bucerias and the point at Punta de Mita.

Take your choice from zippy little reefs to the perfect point breaks & fun beach breaks. The option of boat use usually insures that there are uncrowded waves somewhere along the coast area.

If the swell is on, they have "The Point"… and this wave moves! And it’s only 3/4 of a mile from the little village El Ancolote.

Here there are some 15 restaurants situated along the beach. Also, when the break in front of the restaurant El Corral works,  there just isn't any better way to spend a day. Grab a table, paddle out, and surf one of the most fun waves anywhere and then have lunch in the restaurant while you watch the surfing action.

Warm water, a variety of surf breaks, and gentle winds that are usually offshore make the Punta de Mita area an ideal surf destination.

Two miles off shore from El Ancolote are the Mariettas Islands, a marine national park. The snorkelling is great and there are a large variety of fish. There is even a cave grotto on the island and winter brings whale watching season. The Mariettas are a great place to pack a lunch and spend the day.

The Four Seasons property at Punta de Mita offers one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world with many of the fairways running right along the beach. The signature hole is an island and you just won't play a more exciting or challenging golf hole.

For the more adventuresome, deep sea fishing for Tuna and Dorado is plentiful.  Capt. Josh will arrange an unforgettable day on the water - his biggest Yellowfin is 303 lbs. (6 lbs off the world record) Sushi anyone??

PUNTA DE MITA - VENTANA DEL MAR

Ventana del Mar is a spacious 3400 sq ft 4 bedroom, 4 bath, Penthouse condo in Punta de Mita, Mexico.  The Penthouse is directly across from the beach and sits on a bluff overlooking the Bay of Banderas. The two master suites offer contrasting views of the surf. One looking out on the right-hand point break "El Farro" and the other allowing you to relax in bed and view "La Launcha". Both Master bedrooms have king size beds and en-suite bathrooms. The other two bedrooms, on each side of the penthouse, are set up with twin beds.

There is plenty of room for two families or a small group of friends at Ventana del Mar.  The center hub of the unit is the combined kitchen, dining and living room. All the rooms, with the exception of the twins, open onto the palapa covered patio. The 60 foot long patio offers ample room to dine, sunbathe or just take in the spectacular view of the ocean.

At night the lights of Puerto Vallarta twinkle in the background. After a full day of surfing or adventure, relax in the outdoor pool and spa area or on the well manicured grounds. A gate and security guard at the entrance to Ventana del Mar ensures privacy and security.

Ventana del Mar has highspeed DSL, satellite TV, and a fully equipped kitchen in which to prepare your meals or have our chef take care of them. If you prefer to dine out, cross the footbridge and choAose from over fifteen restaurants directly on the beach. PUNTA DE MITA ACCOMMODATIONS - SIEMPRE VERANO

Siempre Verano meaning "Always Summer", is a well appointed 1,700 sq. ft. 2 bedroom unit perfect for a couple or family with 1 or 2 children. Set on the west facing corner the unit offers great views views of the surf from every room.

With its tasteful furnishings, well equipped kitchen, CD Player, TV (no cable), and VCR, Siempre Verano is perfect for the smaller group who want something in the more modest price range.

The master bedroom looks out over the Bay and there are 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. Daily maid service and cook available.

Surfing

Surfing in Mexico has all the magic of the tropics. As many of the breaks are over reef, a good pair of booties is advisable. Most days will be sunny so make sure you have a rash guard, sunscreen and hat. If you decide on the guided option, your guide will place you in the best surf conditions on that given day.

Instruction is also available for those wanting to learn to the advanced surfer who wants to have that breakthrough session. No matter what your taste or goal, the Punta Mita coast will offer up some great surf experiences

Fishing

If you are a golfer then the Jack Nicholas course is less than a mile away at The Four Seasons Resort. This is a special course with 9 of the holes along the water and the signature par 3 third hole on an island. LuxurySurf can arrange tee times and reduced rates for their guests.

Others

There are numerous other activities in the area. The snorkeling at the islands, less than 3 miles offshore, is some of the best in Mexico.
