Navistar is a 65ft ocean going sloop which is owned and operated by Ashton and Carrick Robinson and is set up exclusively for surf charters. She's captained mainly by Carrick Robinson a keen surfer and finding the best waves on a daily basis is his forte. Carrick's mission is to find the best waves possible to surf through out the trip - you get the best waves of your life and a photographer on board to capture those waves and moments.
Navistar was built and launched in 1990 in Australia and from here Navistar was customised into a surf charter vessel and started charters in the Mentawai Islands in 1999. She is fully air conditioned right throughout the vessel and is powered by a V8 300hp turbo charged Detroit diesel engine which will take you any where, anytime. She will cruise comfortably at 8 knots and can get up to 14 knots whilst sailing given the right conditions.

Accommodation
Navistar comfortably sleeps 8 guests plus crew in spacious air-conditioned accommodation. The on deck area is spacious with seating area for up to 10 people. This is the perfect area to enjoy those tropical breezy nights, sampling freshly caught seafood, the local cuisine and that first magical icy cold beer after a hard days surfing.

New Speed Boat
The Navistar has recently (Feb 2009), purchased a new 5.2m trail craft multi-functional speed boat designed for game fishing and diving whilst having the capacity to drop up to 8 surfers directly onto the breaks. The smaller size makes the speed boat a more viable option when needing to swiftly change destination due to wind and tidal changes.
With 120L inbuilt fuel tanks, the speed boat enables surfers to find and surf remote locations that most large vessel cannot reach, dropping guests straight into the perfect epic surf session’s. The boat doubles as a game fishing vessel, with onboard fishing gear and experienced deckhands, a lot of fun can be found with the large variety of hungry ‘big’ fish.
