Indocean

Indocean is a 70ft local Indo-style outrigger with all the modern comforts for chilling out after a long satisfying surf session.

In 8 days and 7 nights you will experience the waves and the scenery of Nusa Lembongan (Shipwrecks, Lacerations, Playgrounds), Lombok (Desert Point, Ekas), The Gillis (Trawangan right) and Sumbawa (Yo-Yos, Supersucks, Scar Reef), all the while being well fed and well looked after by their friendly crew.

At the bow of the well ventilated sleeping cabin is a cosy lounge area with TV, DVD and music is provided by a DVD player that reads MP3 & CD’s.

The alfresco dining area is on top of the cabin under the main canopy – great for a view of the surf while you eat!  They do Japanese style seating on cushions and the 2 x 2.5m dining table seats 12-14 easy and this can be used as a great chill out area with plenty of cushions and lounge mats to park up and watch the surf from.

Captain & Crew

Indocean is an Aussie owned operation with 5 experienced & friendly local crew. Aussie owners Russell, Sandy & Dave will be traveling on some of the charters intermittently to ensure everything runs smoothly and the boat is kept in ship-shape condition. Russell is based in Bali and has worked on super yachts in the Mediterranean. Sandy is a pro-windsurfer and avid surfer and kite surfer. Dave has sailed around the world as well as sailing competitively and is a keen fisherman.The local manager is Made, he is a Lembongan local and has been with the boat for about 9 years. The skippers name is Llanos, he was born on Lembongan and has been doing the Lembongan-Lombok-Sumbawa trip for the last 6 years. He is a very experienced skipper in the region, is always on top of swell direction, swell size and the tides so as to get you the best surf experience. The chef does great western & local Indo dishes. 2 x deckhands are brothers of both Llanos & Made - both experienced & both good at their jobs.

The main sleeping area can hold up to 12 people but they prefer to charter minimum 4 surfers maximum 10 – to keep it comfortable for all and to keep numbers down at the lineup. There is a western toilet & shower on board.

4-day/3-night Mini Surf Trip

• Pick up from Bali.
• The beautiful Lembongan Island with your choice of breaks from either Shipwrecks, Lacerations, Razors or Playgrounds or Cennigans. Other activities available include: snorkelling, diving, jet-ski hire, island tours, or simply party at Mainski Bar.
• Desert point is the next stop. Sample the worlds best left. From here, some cruising of the southern islands for snorkelling and fishing is possible. A cruise to Gili Islands is also possible.
  

7-day/6-night Ultimate Surf Trip

• Pick up from Bali or Lembongan.
• Lembongan Island, with your choice of breaks from either Shipwrecks, Lacerations, Razors or Playgrounds. Other activities available include: snorkelling, diving, jetski hire, island tours, or simply party at Mainski Bar.
• Desert Point, Lombok - experience some of the world’s best left-hand breaks. Either stay at Deserts if the surf’s on, or motor up to Gili Trawangan.
• The Gili Islands, famous for diving and partying, giving you the choice to chill out on land or on the Indocean.
• With the extra days available, you’re off to Sumbawa, with its epic surf locations Scar Reef, Yo Yo’s and Super Sucks.

Rob

Indocean was the classic Indo boat trip. We got everything we hoped for and more. Just imagine waking up and as you rub your eyes and check the surf you are greeted with one of the crew bringing you whatever you need to get you moving! We had a vague plan to get to Sumbawa and surf the breaks there but Russell and the crew were very accommodating to our ever changing plans. The guys knew where to go and when it would be on, and despite plenty of other surfers around we scored some sessions just to ourselves. The deck of the boat is an excellent place to hang out between surfs and became our large card table in the evening. And what can you say about the surf! If you've never been you cant imagine how perfect it can get and the power is something that took us time to get used to. We saw 6-8 ft scar reef ripped apart by some pro surfers only hours after we had it to ourselves with one or two other guys in the water. Plenty of war stories to take home to our very jealous friends! This trip is not just for experienced surfers, we were all in our late 30s and still managed to get memorable waves. Without a doubt Indocean is the best boat trip that I've ever been on! Indo' is full on and the crew know exactly how to get the best out of this epic venue. Fantastic food, cool boat, great local knowledge, plenty of variety - these guys know the place inside out and are happy to take you where you want to go.
