Medhufushi is located in Meemu Atoll with access to some great breaks within 10 minutes of the resort by Dhoni. The resort can provide surf transfers to the near by breaks. We can pre-book them for you, or you can arrange them once there.

Medhufushi Island Resort Surfing Package:
Surfing package includes:
- Transfer between Medhufushi to surf breaks near Medhufushi.
- Unlimited soft drinks during surfing.
- 2x bottled water (1.5litres) per person per day.
- Sandwiches (cheese, chicken).
- Beach towel.
Surfing Times:
- Morning Session: 08:30 – 12:00 (including travel time).
- Afternoon Session 14:00 – 17:30 (including travel time).
While Central Male Atoll is crowded with surfers, Meemu Atoll is a relatively untouched surfing paradise. Geographical formation of the Meemu Atoll combined with great exposure to southerly swell allows for plenty of reef-pass setups that often generates bigger waves than the more popular North Male Atoll. The beauty of surfing near Medhufushi Island Resort is that there are many spots within a short distance of each other and waves that will accommodate every level of surfing. So if you find a reef sucking barrel that looks rather intimidating, you’ll likely find a more welcoming and forgiving wave just around the corner or on the next reef pass.
Meemu Atoll Surf SpotsNote - Surfboard restrictions apply to this resort due to the seaplane transfers required, you may only take 1 -2 small boards with you and no longboards can be taken at all. Your surfboards may still not be able to arrive with the rest of your baggage as space on the seaplanes are very limited, so they may arrive a little later on another flight. Alternately the watersports department has boards for hire use, however the size and quality of the boards is varying.- "F1 - Muli Inside" Righthander.
Very fast, long walls, hollow, barreling, can be shallow but still save ending. Very well protected from southerly winds. Needs bigger swells. - "Muli Outside/Mushrooms" Righhander
Picks up more swell, good in southwest winds, long walls, can max out easily, on the corner easy exit. - 'Boahuraa' (Muli break)
These breaks have been rarely surfed and perfect waves usually go unridden. The breaks are unique for many surfers as only few boats take its trip down to Mulaku Atoll. The waves are 5ft - 6ft and fast. Perfect ride. Good in North West Winds & West Winds. - 'Mulah Kandu'
In between Mulaku and Veyvah (both inhabited Islands). A perfect Left hander which breaks 5ft – 7 ft normally. Pefrect in North Winds and a playful left hander. - 'Mulaku (Peak)
In front of Mulaku (the capital island of meemu Atoll). A good right hander and fast. Perfect on west winds and South West Winds. - "Veyvah" Left Hander
Perfect wave with long wall. Easy take of with several options with long rides. Not too heavy - Great Fun. - "Mulha" Right Hander
Can hold bigger swells. Easy to ride even when it is big. Good for intermediates and even beginners. - "Mulha" Left Hander
Pretty shallow, fast wave. Works only in certain times of conditions.
