THE 48' RIVIERA flybridge hardtop, called 'RUNAWAY' was built in AUSTRALIA in 1995 and since has been completely refitted in Australia in 2001 for the purpose of surfing & fishing charters. She is outfitted with three staterooms that accommodate 8 passengers, a forward cabin with 4 bunks, the port cabin with 2 bunks and bathroom/shower, and a starboard cabin with 2 bunks and bathroom/shower as well. She has 2 customized surf racks that can hold up to 8 surfboards on the foredeck of the boat. The speed of 'Runaway' enables our guest to experience a vast range of surfing and fishing at all the premiere playgrounds that Tahiti has to offer.
After a satisfying day pulling into perfect crystal clear tubes the yacht has a luxury A/C lounge area with DVD player & Playstation 2. Also included is washer/dryer unit, Sharp convection oven, Sanyo colour TV with videocassette, Kenwood am/fm, cassette, and compact disk player.
There is a complete array of fishing gear supplied exclusively by Melton International Tackle.. A list of other available activities might include:
* 2 Person ocean kayak
* Snorkeling equipment (snorkel, mask, fins, California slings)
* Island circle tours (Tahiti only)
* Fish local style in local "poti-marara" (Tahitian made boat)
* Easy access to the water via the large transom steps at the stern of the vessel
The 5-night charter targets the reefs and passes that encompass Tahiti and her Sister Island Moorea.
The 10-night charter will include everything the 5-night charter has to offer and a lot more. More island hoping and definitely more surf opportunity with the additional islands that the boat 'Runaway will be traveling to, Huahine, Raiatea, and Tahaa. Since the surf is dependent on conditions of swell and the wind direction, we don't give exact itineraries for each charter The captain knows the conditions like no other captain in the area. He will take you to the best waves for each given situation.
